Lobby groups like AdvaMed and the American Hospital Association have so far failed to get medical devices and critical supplies carved out from the Trump administration’s tariffs. AdvaMed CEO Scott Whitaker said the trade group would continue “conversations with the White House” to help the administration understand medtech’s role in the healthcare ecosystem, value to patients and impact on U.S. economic growth.
